Highmark Stadium is Pittsburgh’s Headquarters for Soccer

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds call Highmark Stadium their home turf. Soccer has been gaining rapid popularity throughout the U.S., thanks in part to FIFA, and now is the perfect time to take in a game. See what the rest of the world already knows about this competitive sport and join fans in the stands.

Pittsburgh's Premier Soccer Stadium

The Riverhounds are the local United Soccer League team. They regularly play rivals such as the Charleston Battery, the Richmond Kickers, and the Charlotte Independence.

Highmark StadiumThe stadium is a lovely, green expanse right in the midst of Pittsburgh’s Station Square. Not only does this make seeing a game easy as pie, it also puts you near all the local dining and shopping.

Along with serving as a USL team’s home playing field, the stadium hosts local college soccer, lacrosse, and rugby. The local women’s football team, Pittsburgh Passion, also plays here, and the field has hosted its share of concerts.

Make a soccer game part of your trip when you visit Pittsburgh. Book your stay with us at Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square to be conveniently close to the field as well as lots of other downtown attractions.
